There are various ways to get involved and aid your local immigrant community members. The easiest yet most impactful way is by giving them a voice in government. Vote for local representatives and lawmakers that support pro immigrant policies and measures. If the local, state, or district representative affecting your community is anti-immigration, reach out and show them that their constituents do not align with their platform. Most importantly, stay informed. Read up on news stories for the latest information affecting immigration rights. Speak to undocumented members in your community and assure them they are being heard. Communities flourish when all members are being cared for and understood.
